TRAE D. JOHNSON
Trae D. Johnson; son of Jimmie Johnson and the late Essie L. Johnson, and the youngest of three, is a native of Harlem, Georgia. With six years of financial aid experience, he currently works for Perimeter College of Georgia State University as a Student Financial Services Counselor; where he educates students and parents on financial literacy, financial aid, loans, HOPE scholarship, and steps in being a successful student. He is also one of the Mentors for the TRIO program/Leadership Academy. In 2015, he was nominated and selected as the 2015 Outstanding Staff of the Year. Mr. Johnson is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.-Kappa Alpha Sigma Chapter (Stone Mountain/Decatur) and President of the Dogwood Unit-National Association of Parliamentarians. Mr. Johnson serves as a the newly elected President of the Sigma Youth Leadership Foundation. Mr. Johnson currently serves an Advisor for the Sigma Leadership Academy. Mr. Johnson has participated in many outreach events, including educating students at Sprayberry High School on the importance of going to college and completing the FAFSA, teaching DECA students on how to fill out the FAFSA, encouraging students to create goals for the Leadership Academy, and being on a panel discussion for College Awareness Day at Veterans Memorial Middle School.
When he is not working on financial aid or Sigma business, Mr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his wife LaToya Johnson, family, reading, rooting for the Atlanta Hawks, Braves, and Falcons, lifting weights, listening to music such as New Edition and Bobby Brown, dancing, hanging with family and friends, and writing; which he inspires to become an author one day.
For Over 10 years, Mitchell Burley has worked in the Justice System in the area of Juvenile Justice. While working in the field, he has seen the first hand effects of education on the empowerment of those who can obtain it. Its this dedication that has lead him to advocate, for the young men to obtain a chance to succeed in life through a quality education.

Corey Sapp is a teacher in the DeKalb County School District and is involved with various committees to encourage and enhance young people to excel socially and academically. He strives for greatness leading his life by the motto, “Chasing Perfection, Achieving Excellence...because we are all Excellent by Choice and not by Chance”. Corey's future goals are to obtain a doctorate in School Improvement with a concentration in Educational Leadership. Corey is climbing the educational ladder of success so that his impact on student achievement and growth is greater.
